In 1976, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to regulate the handling of hazardous waste, OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER) also stresses on the requirements following it. As part of these regulations, there are varying requirements for employee training. They depend on the employees' particular level of involvement with hazardous substances. HAZWOPER: Exposure Monitoring & Medical Surveillance Interactive Training is to assist facilities in complying with the employee training requirements of OSHA's HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120). It focuses on training the employees on different types of exposure monitoring equipment, and the techniques as well.
