Commercial Engine Vehicle (CMV) operates mainly for mercantile purposes. A commercial driver drives a vehicle for commerce or individual business motives. A driver driving a vehicle with a GVWR / GCWR of 10,001 pounds or more, carrying a minimum of 8 passengers along with the driver, or carrying hazardous materials requiring indications, is needed to have a record containing a document of his capacity.
