This Diploma in Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at QLS Level 5 course is designed for social workers, care home workers, healthcare professionals, childminders, nannies, teachers and education workers. By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge, qualification and skills required to safeguard children and vulnerable adults. Our course is divided into two parts. The first part of our training course has modules that focus on safeguarding vulnerable adults. The first module will give you a comprehensive introduction to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults. Then you will learn the legislations regarding safeguarding, safeguarding roles, safeguarding responsibilities, safeguarding policies, understanding the importance of communication, understanding abuse, understanding neglect, how to share information and respond to a disclosure. Finally, you will learn how to report everything and report the concerns, if you have any. The second part of the course is about the safeguarding of children. This course also starts with a thorough introduction to children safeguarding and the laws regarding safeguarding children.
